Norma Lucas B.H.Ecol
Norma has always been involved in creative pastimes, designing clothes, including bridal gowns and enjoying various fibre/fabric arts.
She taught junior high, but it was during the time she was a stay-at-home mom that she explored some workshops and other artistic adventures with a close friend, Gail Ryckman (1954-2013), a talented artist/teacher who could truly inspire enthusiasm and love for art.
Norma developed her own business creating and selling artificial and dried floral/plant arrangements through home parties. She was also a catalogue/advertisement designer for a local business, and with her husband developed a screen print/embroidery business - A Brick Shirt House, where she assisted customers in design and prepared the artwork through computer programs to be press ready.
Norma has joined the Charleswood Art Group to resume her experimentation with art, always a fun journey of discovery. She enjoys the transparency and spontaneity of water colour to find a unique way to express oneself, and is recently trying acrylic as a new medium.
