Monica Bailey is a self-taught watercolour artist. Taking inspiration from the

Manitoba landscape, she carefully selects a colour palette which evokes an emotional

reaction from her viewers. Creative insight is drawn from prairie scenes, florals and

forest subjects. She uses yupo as a surface which allows a free-flowing,

impressionistic rendering of the landscape.
